Soe Zayar (Sozy)
Technical leader and solutions architect for apps and AI, with over nine years of building software for businesses and leading the teams behind it. I design the systems underneath a business and keep them running.
I started out building shops and point-of-sale systems for small businesses in Myanmar, moved on to insurance and retail software for companies in Singapore, and today I lead engineering across several products at a software company. All of it has been remote, so working across time zones is normal for me. Along the way I have built my own products too, from an AI agent hub to the server platform this site runs on.
You don't need to be technical to work with me. My job is to understand how your business actually works, then build the simplest system that fits it, and stay around to keep it healthy.

How I work
- Ownership. I take a system from the first sketch to production and stay accountable for it after launch.
- Plain communication. You get clear explanations in ordinary words, and decisions with their reasons attached.
- Simple over clever. I choose the plainest design that will still hold up in two years, not the most impressive one.
- Tests and handover. Work ships with tests and documentation, so your team can run and change it without me.
Education
- Bachelor of Engineering, Information Technology · Mandalay Technological University, Myanmar
- Ruby on Rails Mentor Certificate · DIVE INTO CODE, Tokyo
Away from the keyboard
I grew up in Pyinmana, Myanmar, and now live in the mountains of Dalat. When I'm not building, I'm on a motorbike on the hill roads, playing chess, or playing guitar. I care about two things in the people I work with: that they are good at what they do, and that they do it honestly. I hold myself to the same.
